How to Spoil Your dog

How to Spoil Your dog

If there’s someone in your life who deserves to be spoilt, it’s your pet. He gives you so much love and affection and bestows so much loyalty and faith in you. Spoiling your dogs shows them how much you love them and expresses your appreciation for all they add to your life.

Spoiling here doesn’t mean that you spoil your pet rotten to the extent that he is ruling your life. Spoiling refers to pampering him, indulging him, and handing him goodies or special treats that lets him know how special he is. Your dog knows you love him but it’s nice to take the time to let him know all the same!

The first thing you could do to spoil your pup is to buy him a new coat. If he’s a small dog like a Chihuahua or a medium sized dog like a Pomeranian, a small dog sweater would be perfect for him, and would make him look smart and be comfy too. Unlike coats that are perfect for larger seized dogs, smaller dog clothes and sweaters are lighter and less voluminous. A knitted dog sweater is especially appropriate for winters. Your pup will thank you for it!

Another great way to indulge your pet is treat him to a day at a doggie spa. Here, your pooch can enjoy a massage and body treatments, get his nails polished and varnished, have his coat trimmed, shampooed and blow dried and generally enjoy a luxurious pampering experience.

Cook him his favorite treat, instead of pouring something out of a can. Go online and scour some great doggie food recipes that are home made and use fresh produce. You pet will love the difference in taste and aroma.

Buy him a new doggie toy or two. It doesn’t have to be expensive. Trust us, your dog doesn’t really know the difference between an old shoe and a $60 toy. Buy him something you think he’ll enjoy.

Lastly, play with him. Dogs are simple and loving creatures. It would be great if you lavished money on them, but if you didn’t have a cent to spare they’d love you just as much. Spend more quality time with him, outdoors playing his favorite game or at his favorite doggy park. He’ll feel like the luckiest dog in the world!
